The Vermont 100 Endurance Race is one of the original 100 mile runs in the USA and a part of the Grand Slam Series of Ultrarunning. Each year, 300 runners attempt to finish this hilly race over beautiful Vermont back roads and trails under the 30 hour cutoff point, and a well-trained few finish in under 24 hours. The race proceeds support Vermont Adaptive.
US Olympic Women's Marathon Trials Qualifier Laura Hagley talks about her training and road racing
On Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. the Upper Valley Running Club will host a talk by Laura Hagley in the Mayer Room at the Howe Library, Hanover NH. In December 2014 Laura Hagley ran the California International Marathon in 2 hours, 39 minutes and 55 seconds, qualifying her for the US Olympic Women's Marathon Trials in January of 2016.
How did she do it?
A practicing physical therapist at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont NH and member of the Upper Valley Running Club and Millennium Running Elite Women's Team, Laura will talk about her training and racing success.
