Description

The Vermont 100 Endurance Race is one of the original 100 mile runs in the USA and a part of the Grand Slam Series of Ultrarunning. Each year, 300 runners attempt to finish this hilly race over beautiful Vermont back roads and trails under the 30 hour cutoff point, and a well-trained few finish in under 24 hours. The race proceeds support Vermont Adaptive.

Vermont 100 mile and 100 Km qualify for for the 2016 "Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc®". 


Runners who completed the 100 mile race will receive 4 points (5 'new points'), and runners who completed the 100km race will receive 2 points (4 'new points').

 Congratulations Emily!
On Sunday a NEW 100 Km Course Record was set by Emily LeVan from Randolph Center, Vermont by cruising to a 1st place overall finish in the race. The previous record was set in 2013 by Dawn Hamel with a time of 11:32:36. LeVan shaved over an hour off the old record with a time of 10:08:52.

Also Congratulations go out to Neela D'Souza. She ran to a 1st Place Solo and second place overall with a time of 10:21:35 (also crushing the previous record!)

Awards Ceremony - At Silver Hill Meadow, starts approx 11 a.m..

  • All 100 K runners finishing under the 20 hour limit will receive a custom designed coaster.

100 mile Race
100 Mile runners must check in with timers between 3 and 3:45 AM.
100 Mile RUNNER START  - 4AM 

100 K Race
100 K runners must check in with timers between  8 and 8:45 AM.
100 K RUNNER START - 9AM

100 mile Aid Station Info:  

Densmore Hill opens at 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning

Polly's  Hard Cut-off 8:40 a.m. Sunday morning

Finish Line closes at 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning

 

There will be 25 aid stations with a variety of food and drinks. There is good access for handlers at designated stations. Pacers only will be allowed the last 30 miles. Pacers (pacers only, not handlers) are allowed anytime throughout the course for those 60 years and above.

There will be 16 aid stations with a variety of food and drinks. There is good access for handlers at designated stations. Pacers only will be allowed the last 30 miles. Pacers (pacers only, not handlers) are allowed anytime throughout the course for those 60 years and above.

MOVIE NIGHT AT VT100


100/Head/Heart/Feet 6:30 p.m 
Hammer and Saw Films will be showing their documentary (100 Head/Heart/Feet) regarding the 2013 Vermont 100 at this year's event. They will show it under the main tent following dinner (about 6:30 p.m.) on Friday night, followed by a Q&A session. They will also be on-site on Friday to discuss the film and be selling copies of the film.
