A Note from Our Race Director #vt100 #vermont100 #ultrarun #VT100K

Hello Runners!
For the last time, I'd like to congratulate everyone on your amazing accomplishment race weekend.  Well done!  It was great to see many familiar faces, meet new runners, and watch the family and friends that supported you along the way.  More than that, it was incredible to watch the joy and pain as many of you cross the finish line and accomplished an incredible goal.  Thanks for joining us at the 2016 Vermont 100!

A few logistical things - first off, if you left before the Sunday BBQ and didn't get your finisher award, please let me know so I can get that to you!

Runners completing the 100 mile in under 24 hours will get a large buckle, runners completing the 100 mile in over 24 hours will get a smaller buckle, and 100km runners will get a horseshoe.  Please let me know what you should get, and where to mail it.

I would encourage everyone to complete the post-race survey - it's a great opportunity to provide feedback, as well as vote for your favorite aid station.  And, it's due to feedback in the post race survey that the VT100 continues to improve each year.  This year, the inclusion of the over 24 hour buckle is due to feedback from last year's runners!  A link to the survey is below.

There is plenty of race merchandise still, and it's a great Thank You to your crew, pacer, or patient family members that supported you through the weekend or through your past months of training.  Check it out!

Don't forget about our PHOTO CONTEST! Our generous sponsors (Salomon, Hoka, Farm to Feet, Julbo, and Dion Snowshoes) have sent me so much gear that we have a few extra items to give away!

So, they are helping sponsor a VT100 story/photo contest!

Submit your VT100 story, race report, photo that embodies the VT100, or whatever you have to be entered to win!

1. submit your story/photo to the race email at

2. submit your story/photo on the race Facebook page

3. forward a link to your race report to either location

We will accept entries until end of the day August 7th, and will send out prizes to a few of the best submissions as well as some random entrants.

Lastly, I want to thank each and every one of you for what you are doing for Vermont Adaptive.  Each and every one of you helps support the programs through your participation in the Vermont 100.

I hope to see many of you at the 2017 Vermont 100 (July 14-16, 2017), if not sooner on the trails.  Watch the website for registration dates (likely mid-January), and good luck to the Grand Slammers as you continue your journey in Leadville!
Let me know if you have questions, comments, or feedback.
