Description

The Vermont 100 Endurance Race is one of the original 100 mile runs in the USA and a part of the Grand Slam Series of Ultrarunning. Each year, 300 runners attempt to finish this hilly race over beautiful Vermont back roads and trails under the 30 hour cutoff point, and a well-trained few finish in under 24 hours. The race proceeds support Vermont Adaptive.

Getting to the VT-100 Start/Finish Area at Silver Hill Meadow

From Interstate 91, coming South from Rte 89 and White River Junction -
Take Exit 9 Hartland-Windsor. Go North (right) onto Route 5 North. Go just over a mile and bear left onto Route 12 N. Go 1.2 miles to the 4-way and go left onto the Brownsville-Hartland Rd. The Skunk Hollow Tavern will be on your right just after you turn. Go 5.2 miles, PASSING JENNEVILLE RD. and take a right onto Silver Hill Rd. This is a change from previous years. Jenneville is blocked to all but the locals. DO NOT USE JENNEVILLE. DRIVING ON IT COULD CAUSE AN END TO OUR EVENT FOR THE FUTURE. Drive 1.7 miles up Silver Hill Rd., bearing right at the triangle at the top. You’ll then break out into an open meadow, which is your destination.


From Woodstock – (Best route for big rigs)
From the Green on Route 4 in the center of town take a right onto Route 106 South (sign is obscured by a small Maple tree). Drive 12.2 miles to Left onto Rte 44 East. Enroute landmarks: 5.2 mi. curve right passing So. Woodstock Fire Station and Horse showgrounds. 9.3 mi. pass Whitmore Circle on right. Another 2.9 miles to your turn.

Go ½ mile on Rte 44, turning left onto Shattuck Hill Rd. Go 9/10 mile, turning left onto Rush Meadow Rd. Drive 2.6 miles, turning right onto Bryant Rd. Drive 9/10 mile bearing left at triangle. You’ll then break out into an open meadow, which is your destination.

(Alternate, shorter route) From Woodstock –
From the Green on Route 4 in the center of town take a right onto Route 106 South (sign is obscured by a small Maple tree). At 4.7 mil curve left past So. Woodstock Country Store. At 5.2 mi. see South Woodstock Fire Station on left. Before the right curve go straight onto Morgan Hill Rd. Drive up and over Morgan Hill to the intersection at 1.6 miles. DO NOT TURN LEFT ONTO REEVES RD., WHICH IS BLOCKED TO ALL BUT LOCAL TRAFFIC. THIS IS A CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS. Go straight onto Rush Meadow Rd. It then curves left and back right. Go 2.1 mi. on Rush Meadow, turning left onto Bryant Rd. Drive 9/10 mile bearing left at triangle. You’ll then break out into an open meadow, which is your destination.

From the South through Springfield VT–
Take Route 106 North to right onto Route 44 East. Go ½ mile on Rte 44, turning left onto Shattuck Hill Rd. Go 9/10 mile, turning left onto Rush Meadow Rd. Drive 2.6 miles, turning right onto Bryant Rd. Drive 9/10 mile bearing left at triangle. You’ll then break out into an open meadow, which is your destination.
From the South on Interstate 91 –
Take Exit 8, turning right onto Route 131 East, and go a short distance to left turn onto Route 5 North. Go 1.2 miles, bearing left onto Route 44A. Drive 2.8 miles, bearing left onto Route 44 West. Go 2.6 miles into Brownsville. Just past the Brownsville General Store turn right onto the Brownsville-Hartland Rd. Drive 2.2 miles and turn left onto Silver Hill Rd. Drive 1.7 miles up Silver Hill Rd., bearing right at the triangle at the top. You’ll then break out into an open meadow, which is your destination.
*Note: Due to traffic issues, we have changed the directions to the site somewhat.
 Please follow these routes instead of previous routes you may have used to improve traffic flow.

Upon arriving at Silver Hill, you will be directed to the runner parking areas (purple). Park in the first parking on the right for camping, or continue to the first parking on the left (after the white house) for vehicle registration and non-camping parking.


DO NOT PARK in roads (travel lanes of traffic), driveways or fields.
Or on lawns or blocking any entry, exit or other vehicle unless directed to do so by a sign or a volunteer!


**Should you park in a non-designated area you are jeopardizing the future of the race**
Please follow the speed limit (35 MPH on any unmarked dirt road) or less and watch out for humans, dogs, horses and other animals in the road.
