Description

The Vermont 100 Endurance Race is one of the original 100 mile runs in the USA and a part of the Grand Slam Series of Ultrarunning. Each year, 300 runners attempt to finish this hilly race over beautiful Vermont back roads and trails under the 30 hour cutoff point, and a well-trained few finish in under 24 hours. The race proceeds support Vermont Adaptive.

Non-Crew Spectating

There are a few places along the course of the Vermont 100 Endurance Race that a person could watch the race on Saturday. These suggestions are only for non-crew members. If Race Officials find any registered crew vehicles using these spaces, we will assume that you are offering illegal aid to your runner and disqualify them. BE AWARE!

These places are public places, often utilizing the parking of local businesses. If you are parking to watch the event, please be polite to employees and customers, and consider patronizing the businesses!
  • In Taftsville, on Route 4, where our course crosses the Taftsville Bridge, there is a little space for parking on the lower road between Route 4 and the bridge. This is at mile 15.4 on the 100 Mile course. The Taftsville Country store is often open for business with coffee! Our runners will be passing through this area around 5:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m.
  • In Pomfret at Cloudland Farms on Cloudland Rd. Heading out of Woodstock on Rte 12, take a right onto Old River Road, follow to the end of the pavement and take a left on Cloudland Road. Go 3.5 miles or so to Cloudland Farm on the right, turn right at the sign and park in the riding arena directly ahead. This is at mile 19 on the 100 Mile course. You can set up lawn chairs on the grass right by the sign to look over the road where the runners will be. Our runners will be passing through this area around 6:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
  • In Woodstock, on Route 4 across from Cabot Rd, just before the Lincoln Covered Bridge. There is parking at the town garage and at the True Value hardware store. This is at mile 39.2 on the 100 Mile course. Our runners will be passing through this area around 9:00 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
  • In Woodstock, on Route 106, Just past Long Hill Rd, please use the second pull off-this area will be suitable parking for a few cars at a time. Our runners will be passing through this area around 9:30am-6:00pm, at the 43.3 mile marker on the 100 mile course.
Please be aware that at all of these locations, runners and horses will be on the roads!

Drive slowly and carefully and keep your eyes out for runners!
